You FuTuRe PROJECT TRAINIING COURSES
The training courses for our You FuTuRe project, carried out under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) supported by the European Commission, are continuing successfully.
In today's training sessions, each country gave presentations on the types of disasters experienced in their country and the policies and approaches applied in disaster response. These presentations allowed participants to compare the disaster risks, preparedness levels, and response systems of different countries. This strengthened the international perspective on disasters, the sharing of best practices, and the mutual learning process. While participants' disaster awareness increased, their resilience and sense of cooperation also significantly strengthened.
Disaster awareness training was provided by the Yozgat Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD). The training covered:
*What to do before, during, and after a disaster,
Training on setting up tents in emergencies,
*Fire awareness, correct behavior during a fire, and hands-on firefighting training.
Thanks to these trainings, participants not only gained theoretical knowledge but also acquired practical skills, making them better prepared for emergencies they may encounter in real life. The program provided an important learning experience that raised young people's awareness of disasters, encouraged them to take responsibility, and enabled them to actively contribute to social resilience.
