WHAT ARE NATURAL DISASTERS AND HOW DO THEY OCCUR?
Today, we successfully completed the second day of our You FuTuRe project, implemented within the scope of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) and supported by the European Commission.
Volunteers prepared presentations on natural disasters experienced in their own countries and the policies addressing these disasters. Starting from the questions “What are natural disasters and how do they occur?”, they carried out in-depth research, with a particular focus on climate change–related disasters.
In addition, the volunteers learned:
the Youthpass certificate,
informal and non-formal learning methods,
and how to plan activities using these methods through practical exercises.
To enhance the project’s dissemination and visibility, a joint strategic plan was developed. The day concluded with a feedback and evaluation session, reflecting on the activities carried out.
