As part of our project, « Your Future » we visited Aglou zone, near Tiznit city.
Why Aglou?
Aglou provides a vital case study, as it suffered from major floods and significant damage in 2014.
During the visit, we didn’t just look back at the disaster; we focused on:
• Studying the extent of the losses the region sustained.
• Witnessing the State’s interventions and massive efforts in rehabilitating and restoring the area.
• Examining the engineering structures and protective installations built to mitigate the effects of future floods.
The goal of these field visits is to move from theoretical knowledge into practical awareness and understand how communities can adapt and build resilience against natural hazards.
