WE HAD A VERY PRODUCTIVE AND INTERSTING DAY
We visited Sorgun’s Thursday market and had pleasant conversations with local shopkeepers and citizens. We asked participants the question, “Which are the six provinces in Türkiye that have been most affected by earthquakes throughout history?” and reflected together on historical disaster awareness.
Risk Mapping:
In the afternoon, we met with citizens in the town square. Using a map of Türkiye that we had prepared, we asked participants to match regional natural disaster risks (such as floods, landslides, earthquakes, etc.) with visual materials. This activity led to meaningful discussions and strong moments of awareness.
