Search and Rescue Traınıng ın Natural Envıronments
As part of our “You FuTuRe – Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness” project, carried out under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program, we participated in search and rescue training in natural environments alongside our volunteers from various European countries.
During the hands-on field training led by expert instructors from the Yozgat Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD), our volunteers had the opportunity to experience the basic methods used in searching for missing persons, navigating in the field, coordinating between teams, and safe search techniques.
Thanks to the training conducted under real-world field conditions, our volunteers learned firsthand the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and rapid coordination in saving lives during disasters and emergencies.
We sincerely thank Mr. Ömer Bozkurt, the Yozgat AFAD Provincial Director, for his valuable support of our project and for sharing his knowledge and experience with our international volunteers, as well as all AFAD expert instructors who participated in the training sessions.
Together for a safer and more resilient future!
