Our Volunteers Partıcıpated ın Comprehensıve Dısaster Awareness Traınıng
As part of the “Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (You FuTuRe)” project, which is supported by the European Commission and implemented under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program, our international volunteers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, and Greece participated in comprehensive training on disaster awareness and preparedness.
*During the training sessions organized by the Yozgat AFAD Provincial Directorate, volunteers received both theoretical and practical knowledge on topics such as disaster awareness, tent setup, fire safety, airbag usage, live detection and listening methods under rubble, search tactics for missing persons, search-and-rescue planning, and field search operations for missing persons.
*As part of the program, Enes Arslan, an instructor from the Civil Defense and Firefighting Department at Yozgat Vocational School, also provided training to the volunteers on topics including “First Aid in Search and Rescue,” “Rescue Techniques,” and “Emergency Management.” Thanks to these trainings, the volunteers had the opportunity to learn and apply the correct intervention methods in disaster and emergency situations.
*These trainings, which contribute to enhancing the knowledge and skills of young people from different countries in disaster awareness, solidarity, and teamwork, hold great significance in terms of our project’s goal of increasing social resilience.
