OUR TRAININGS CONTINUE
The training courses of our You FuTuRe project, implemented within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) and supported by the European Commission, are continuing successfully.
Today, a missing person search training was carried out in the field by the Yozgat AFAD Provincial Directorate. The training was planned in both theoretical and practical sessions. Volunteers gained comprehensive knowledge on the basic principles of search and rescue operations, safe movement in the field, team coordination, and approaches to missing person cases. In the practical session, the knowledge gained was transferred to the field through scenario-based exercises.
Following the training, we visited the Yozgat Bozok University Search and Rescue Dogs Training Coordination Unit. During the visit, detailed information was provided on the critical role of search and rescue dogs in disaster and missing person cases, their training processes, scent-tracking methods, and how they work together with teams during operations.
