Dısaster Preparedness Traınıng
As part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC)—a program supported by the European Commission under the “Volunteer Teams in High-Priority Areas” initiative—we visited the Yozgat AFAD Provincial Directorate as part of our project implemented by the Sorgun Youth Association (SORGED).
During our visit, we met with Mr. Yunus Alıç, Deputy Director of the Yozgat AFAD Provincial Directorate, and received information about AFAD’s responsibilities, disaster preparedness efforts, and activities carried out in Yozgat.
Following this, our volunteers participated in earthquake search-and-rescue and mountaineering training conducted by AFAD experts.
Through this training, our volunteers gained hands-on knowledge and experience in disaster preparedness, teamwork, search-and-rescue procedures, and moving safely under challenging conditions.
Together with our volunteers from Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Turkey, we continue to learn and take action to build more aware, prepared, and resilient communities in the face of disasters.
