During the sessions, students were informed about the causes of natural disasters, preventative measures that can be taken, and appropriate behaviors to adopt during a disaster.
Following this, awareness training sessions on fire and flood disasters were held in two different classes at the Girls’ Imam Hatip High School. The sessions aimed to raise students’ awareness of disasters by explaining what to do before, during, and after fires and floods.
In the afternoon, the group visited the Sorgun Youth Center to meet with students participating in an art class. During the disaster awareness-themed art activity, students engaged in a fun and educational exercise by expressing their feelings and thoughts about disaster awareness through their artwork.
Through educational programs and activities tailored to different age groups, the initiative aimed to raise students’ awareness of disasters, help them identify risks, and encourage them to adopt a culture of safe living.
