DISASTER AWARENESS TRAINING
Within the framework of our project “Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (You FuTuRe)”, supported by the European Commission and carried out under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), comprehensive trainings were organized for our volunteers.
The trainings were delivered by:
Disaster and Emergency Coordinator Lect. Meryem Akbulut Bakır,
Dr. Süleyman Gürbüz, and
Deputy Disaster and Emergency Coordinator Lect. Enes Arslan.
The training content included:
The relationship between climate change and natural disasters,
Disaster awareness and risk reduction methods,
Basic knowledge and practical applications of search and rescue processes.
Volunteers from different countries not only increased their awareness of disasters through both theoretical and practical sessions but also had the opportunity to develop the skills needed to respond effectively in crisis situations.
