Dısaster awareness event
We visited a middle school to share disaster awareness through fun and interactive activities!
We started with an icebreaker game. Our volunteers introduced themselves and threw a ball to a student. The student who caught the ball introduced themselves and passed it to someone else. It was a great way for everyone to get to know each other.
Next, we played an educational game using a map of Türkiye, where students identified areas affected by different natural disasters. The activity helped them learn more about disaster risks in an engaging way.
To bring even more energy to the day, we all performed traditional Turkish dances together and enjoyed spending time as one team. Afterwards, we prepared emergency kits with the students and discussed the importance of being prepared for disasters.
We finished the day with an earthquake drill, practicing the correct actions to take during an emergency. It was a wonderful day full of learning, fun, and awareness!
