Within the framework of our "“rotect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (You FuTuRe)"”project, coordinated by SORGED under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme, supported by EACEA (European Commission), today we stepped into different shoes — and into a children'’ library.

The morning started with an earthquake scenario. Each volunteer took on a role: risk manager, local administrator, disaster survivor, volunteer, journalist, health worker. Everyone prepared a response plan from their own perspective. Same disaster, six different lenses.

We also began preparing our Friday open presentation — sharing what we'’e learned throughout the project — and divided up responsibilities.

In the afternoon, we headed to the children’s library at GSB Sultangazi Youth Centre, where we played disaster awareness games with kids. Fun, hands-on, and just the right kind of serious.
