A Vısıt Was Made to the Servıce Dog Traınıng Coordınatıon Offıce
* As part of the “Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (You FuTuRe)” project we are carrying out under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program, our young volunteers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, and Greece, who are currently in Yozgat, visited the Service Dog Training Coordination Office at Yozgat Bozok University.
* During the visit, our volunteers were briefed on the critical roles that service dogs play in disasters and emergencies. The training was conducted by Dr. Mehmet İnan, Assistant Professor and Service Dog Training Coordinator at Yozgat Bozok University.
* During the training, our volunteers learned about the training, working principles, and importance of service dogs in search-and-rescue operations during disasters, and also had the opportunity to closely observe practical demonstrations.
* This activity, aimed at raising disaster awareness among young people from different countries, also contributed to our international volunteers gaining firsthand insight into the successful search and rescue operations conducted in our country.
We would like to thank Dr. Mehmet İnan and the Yozgat Bozok University Service Dog Training Coordination Office for their hospitality and valuable insights.
